If you have the flashing fish lure, use it to catch grey fish! CAUTION: the grey fish are a lot smarter than the yellow fish(in other words, the don't swim just swim straight) 

When ever you see a crab start to climb on the bottom of the ice, get as many fish as possible.

Don't put your line on a jellyfish.

You can put your line on a barrel or boot.

If you see a 1-up passing by, get it.

Automaticly, as soon as you reach 60 fish, the mullet starts to come.

When you see it's shadow, catch a fish and don't bring it up.

If another fish swims by, switch the fish you have with the fish that is passing by.

When the mullet comes close enough, use the fish that you have as bait to catch the Mullet!

Catching the Mullet will give you a 100 coin bonus!
